Shoal Bay

Shoal Bay is a relatively small yet interesting section of the Victoria coast line. The most striking feature of this area is the typical Vancouver Island geological formations, an almost extruded volcanic pyroclastic flow.

The small size of the accessable beach is more than made up for by the man made causeway that extends to a rocky formation that was once merely a small group of isolated rocks. The access to all three sides of ocean exposure makes for a beach combers paradise, especially on the South Eastern exposure.
