| Greater Victoria The Greater Victoria area is home to some of the finest yet most unknown beaches on Vancouver Island . The beaches and parks in this area are perfect for a quick walk, or an afternoon picnic. They are heavily used, so please remember to respect nature and dispose of your garbage properly. All destinations in this section are short day trips when your point of departure is Victoria. |

| Getting around All of the destinations in this section are located a relatively short distance by foot from major roads and are easily acessable. A map of Victoria is handy but not required, however, the local streets can be very confusing . |
