Running from Qualicum to Ucluelet and Tofino, Highway 4 is home to some of Vancouver Island's most rugged and desolate scenery.

From Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park to Pacific Rim National Park, the recreational opportunities are endless and unique.

Be sure to top off your vehicles fuel supply when possible, gas stations are few and far apart. Cellular coverage is poor to non existant between Port Alberni and Ucluelet.

Getting around
Most of the destinations in this section are located a short distance from highway 4 and are easily acessable by car. With a 5 hour travel time when departing from Victoria, you should allow several days to explore this area. Please respect the power of the surf and waves in this area, and be aware that we share the beaches with black bears.

The weather can change rapidly in this area, always carry a change of clothes and plan on being wet and cold at some point, even in the summer season.
